Hi, I’m Lulu.
I’m a dancer at heart and a yoga, breathwork, meditation, and movement teacher based in New York City.
With over 16 years of dedicated yoga practice and more than a decade of teaching experience, my work is rooted in rhythm, breath, and the belief that movement can shift how we feel - physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically.
I spent my early years dancing anywhere and everywhere. A vineyard kid from Paso Robles, California, with a dream that carried me to NYC to receive my B.F.A. in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College. After many years of training and working as a dancer, I stumbled into a donation based yoga class as a way to keep moving my body when I couldn’t afford daily dance classes. Little did I know that would put me on my own personal path of healing and discovery.
Dance was my ultimate outlet for self-expression, but being constantly critiqued for my physical appearance and the never-ending rejection of the auditioning process, took a toll on my well-being. Through all the highs and lows, the dream gigs and the closed doors, I promised myself I’d never stop dancing.
Vinyasa was my gateway into the yoga world, but it was Traditional Hot Yoga, 26 + 2, that inspired me to become a teacher. It was in the hot room that I learned to look into the mirror with love and acceptance, rather than through the lens of perfectionism I had been trained to see through during my dancing years. I cried, I sweat, I let myself feel - I learned the power of choosing to let my feelings move and come home to myself and my breath, over and over again.
The practice of presence and the reminder that I am whole, perfectly imperfect, is what lit the fire in me to help others reclaim their power and joy through embodiment.
Over the course of a decade, I’ve completed more than 900 hours of training across Vinyasa and Traditional Hot Yoga, with advanced studies under Jared McCann of Lighthouse Yoga School and Nikki Vilella of Kula Yoga Project. I’m also a Katonah Yoga® certified teacher and attribute much of my inspiration for diving deep into the practice to Josie Schweitzer, whose trainings wove theory into a practical framework that not only strengthened my teaching but also how I orient myself in the world.
My teaching draws from Ashtanga, Hatha, Katonah Yoga®, pranayama, intuitive movement practices, and my training in dance and choreography, to build integrity in the body before inviting expansion. In my classes, you’ll find a blend of breath, strength, mobility, somatic release, and creative expression designed to help you move energy, deepen body awareness, and reconnect you to your inner rhythm. I love to draw inspiration from TCM’s 5 Element Theory, the Chakra System, Western Astrology, Buddhist Philosophy, Vedic Mantra, and my own lived experiences. Whether teaching through a traditional or layered lens, my classes are heart-led, soulful, playful, and empowering. I offer a non-dogmatic approach and believe in sharing these practices in a way that is inclusive, accessible, and adaptable to the ever-evolving human experience.
I’ve had the pleasure of hosting retreats alongside dear friends and collaborators in destinations including Greece, Portugal, Mexico, Peru, California, and Upstate New York. I’ve taught classes ranging from one person to over 1,000 in Bryant Park, and have partnered with brands such as Louis Vuitton, Mastercard, Shopify, and Athleta. A true career highlight was seeing my breathwork and meditation classes featured globally on American Airlines in partnership with Obé Fitness.
I’ve also had the honor of guiding and mentoring new teachers through 200-hour trainings and advanced mentorships with Sky Ting, New Love City, and Sarai in New York City, and lead signature workshops such as Joyride, Expression Session, Take Flight, Lean Back, and Level Up: A Masterclass - immersive experiences designed to deepen connection, unlock expression, and expand the way we move, feel, and show up.
But above all, I’m forever humbled and grateful to share the power of these practices in whatever capacity I can, from the personal, in studio, on retreat, in the comfort of your own home on demand, to larger scale events. You can practice with me in person in New York City at Good Move, Sky Ting, New Love City, Alo, and Sarai, or online through my on-demand library, Somatical.
Thank you for being here. <3
